Even once you have identified all your stakeholders, it can be overwhelming to think about how to handle all the people that need to be consulted as part of your design process!
I am constantly finding myself worrying about all the stakeholders that can hover around a design project, even those small ones!
I find this Stakeholder Matrix super helpful:
The idea is to think about your project stakeholders and try to map them to one of these areas. Whichever box they land in, the action described is usually the best approach to take in dealing with them.
This matrix helps me prioritise my time and effort so I don’t get bogged down doing too much for stakeholders that aren’t that important or worse, not doing enough to keep those main players happy!
